We (wife, baby daughter will be 1 year old in June, and myself) want to do a railway journey through Central Europe next year June/July August. Our idea of this was a journey that you spend the 2 weeks aboard a train that journeys from country to country, with lots of stops at various places, as they show on “Great Railway Journeys” on Discovery Channel.

Countries that would be great would be Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Italy, Holland and France. I don’t know if your agency deals with railway journeys? So ideally, the majority of the journey would be on one train, not catching various trains throughout the journey. Almost like a train “hotel” that you book into and travel around Europe. Let me know if you can help.

Here are two great companies that arrange trips as per your clients request.

Not cheap though! And quite hard to find unaccompanied trips.

Here's a nice link with advice for travelling with a 1-year old, too: http://www.seat61.com/Europe.htm#Children
